2. Getting started..the first steps

The starting step is to choose a right topic of current relevance to start investigating on it....Many people do mistakes here...they are not particular in what topic they choose. Most often, scientific topics that are almost established in the field or those that are less relevant to the scientific community is chosen, which is a mistake!.
First steps......

The first and most important step in starting a research degree is to choose the right topic to do research. This will set the right direction.

Yes. we need to do our homework!!
Search the famous and most established research university's websites. Especially what the professor's current research is. Say, MIT, Stanford, etc...Then identify the topics which are more likely you can pursue.

What is the idea? Why do research at all??

The idea is, most of the top universities do research that is meant to get a product to the market. Publishing a paper is only a part of it.
But this consumes a lot of time....But it is worth it!! Because, the first few steps we take will pave the way for our entire research career!!  So, be careful. If we miss these small things, we will miss a decade in our career!!
So, well started is half done!!!

Next, I'll come up with the 'art of articulating your ideas'.......
